2009 - 2010

The nostalgia of the new year has hit. Not really, but I was trying to come up with the ten most memorable moments/events of 2009 for me. The good, the bad, and the ugly in no particular order.

1. I am rehired at my school, for the third year in a row. The last time I need to go through the process before tenure, and also moving up from 4th grade to 5th.

2. A week later Jeff is hired for the assistant coaching position in Cleveland, Ohio. Ohhhh, the irony!

3. In January I made a trip to Florida to run in the Naples Half Marathon. My first 13.1 mile race. Great race with great people, and can't really beat a trip to Florida in the middle of January!

4. Shea cut his foot on a broken beer bottle. 5 stitches, 4 staples, 5 weeks, 10 pounds, and a few thousand dollars later, he is finally able to play again.

5. Jeff's brother Jim and his now wife, Jenny got married in Baltimore this October. Great wedding and a wonderful time with Jeff and his family!

7. My family from Florida visited for two weeks. We got to spend a lot of time together, which we usually don't get to do!

8. Jeff and I attended our first, very cold, game at Citi Field. Go Mets!

9. Jeff and I spend the weekend in NYC so his brother, Jon, and I can run in the NYC half marathon. 98 degrees and 100% humidity. Awesome!

10. Jeff and I spend our Christmas together after two months in separate cities.

With that, I'd like to compile a short list of things I am looking forward to in 2010, although there is more than will be listed.

1. Living within 7 hours of my husband. Ideally, under the same roof!

2. Complete a triathlon (April 11th in Miami).

3. Complete a full marathon, all 26.2 miles (Disney in October).

4. Receiving tenure.

5. Get a boob job. Just kidding, but I am hoping for LASIK eye surgery!
