Surprisingly, my somewhat personal, unexpected blurting has been greeted with big smiles and open arms. People are happy for me! They know that, while I am surviving just fine, life is much better with Jeff around. A common question that I have been asked is, "what is the best part of having him home?" There are so many things. Here's a list of just a few:
1) I have someone, who doesn't have 4 legs, to kiss good-bye in the morning.
2) There is someone else to take out the guy that does have 4 legs out for a walk!
3) I have someone, over the age of 10, to give me a hug.
4) I have someone, over the age of 10, to make fun of me.
5) There is someone, not locked in a crate, there when I get home from work.
6) I have someone to choose for me what to watch on TV.
7) I have someone's feet to rub.
8) I have someone to distract me long enough that I don't have time to go for a long, hard run.
9) I have someone to fall asleep next to, snoring and all.
10) I have someone, who can speak (although doesn't always choose to), to say I love you to.
I'm enjoying every minute of it that I can. It won't last forever. In fact, it will only last two more days. I hope they are the longest two days of my life!
