No Sleep

I love nothing more than falling asleep and waking up with my husband beside me. It's the way it should be. However, last night, as I lay awake, unable to do either, I realized something needs to change!

Jeff so simply put it last night, after Shea hopped up and took his place at the foot of the bed, "and everything is normal again." And he was right. It seems as though all is right in the world. Our little family is together.

With all of our time apart, I have forgotten how hard it is to sleep when all three of us are together. The two with male parts both snore like they weigh 400 pounds. That, I can get used to. In fact, it is almost soothing as it is a reminder my two main men are with me. The part that is hard, is the hogging. It comes in all forms. The sheets, the pillows, the bed, the space.

Shea is a big dog. He's not huge, but he's good sized. Good enough size to take up space! He is capable of curling up and being compact. He does when he is napping on the floor, in his crate, or on the couch.
So sweet, right? I totally agree. He's a good boy. He can't take up too much of the bed, can he? Well, for some reason, come night time, come time when we are all in bed together, compact Shea turns into sprawl out Shea.

Now go on and find a place to fit two full-grown adults. It's a queen sized bed. We no doubtedly should have gotten a king! If that would even help. Jeff and I both think the solution rests in the beds of Will and Joan Cleaver, separate beds.
Aren't they cute with those little hearts? No loss of love with these separate beds, just a gain of sleep.
